Stay Safe MN - Guidance for Social Distancing in Youth Sports

This guidance document outlines the practical application of prevention strategies to reduce the spread of COVID-19 among sports activities.

Minnesota's Stay Safe Plan

Minnesota has made good progress on slowing the spread of COVID-19. As we continue the process of reopening our economy and returning to work and activities we enjoy, we must continue social distancing practices to save lives and stay safe. This chart outlines Minnesota's phased in approach to reopening various business and social settings.

Association Preparedness Plan

Under Governor Tim Walz’s Executive Orders, identified businesses that are in operation during the peacetime emergency are required to establish a COVID-19 Preparedness Plan.

SEASON OPTIONS

  • OPTION 1 - Short summer season, same schedule.
  • OPTION 2 - Compact the fall season down, eliminating Monsta Championships and USA Softball Selects weekends. Push state and qualifier tournaments into late July and early August.
  • OPTION 3 - Create a hybrid season. Once we are given a green light to play, start fall ball.

No games will be played on Labor Day Weekend under all options.

As you can see much of what we plan to do is based on a favorable decision to play.
