USA Softball Minnesota was established in 2012 to provide softball opportunities to all disciplines of softball in Minnesota through a network of league directors, communities, clubs, and associations. We provide programs and services to our members, supporters, affiliates and the interested public. We value these members of the softball community, and the staff and volunteers who serve them. We are committed to excellence and the improvement of our sport. We are committed to providing a safe and positive environment for all of our members.

MISSION

To promote softball as an affordable, accessible activity to communities, clubs, teams, and players through uniform and quality programs.

OBJECTIVES

To promote amateur softball for all persons regardless of race, color, creed, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, or sexual orientation.

To establish uniform softball rules and regulations.

To provide it with proper safeguards in accordance with the spirit of true sportsmanship and establish principles for ethical behavior and matters relating to conflict of interest as provided by the Minnesota Softball Association Board of Directors.

To encourage the union of all eligible teams, organizations or groups into such separate associations with active membership in the Minnesota Softball Association as may from time to time be deemed best adapted to advance the cause of amateur softball.

To establish and maintain by allied membership, alliances with non-profit associations or organizations devoted wholly or partially to the promotion and development of the game of softball on a state, regional, or national level.

To promote and conduct annual amateur softball championships.

To educate and train in the proper skills of amateur softball play and rules of the game through promoting, organizing, and conducting clinics, seminars and training courses.

To amend these by-laws in order to provide and promote in the best interest of Minnesota Softball Association.

PRINCIPLES

Shall follow the rules and regulations of ASA as established by ASA Code, Playing Rules and Operations Manual.

Shall support ASA’s programs that promote the sport of softball and educate players, coaches, officials, volunteers and the public about the game.

Shall act at all times with the utmost civility and sportsmanlike conduct, promoting wholesome, and safe competition.

Shall strive to provide programs that encompass fairness to the participants and promote fair play and sportsmanship.
